I found this today while checiking out MSNBC. Apparently the Boxer is the sixth most popular dog these days. This is what the article had to say about the breed. I am looking forward to baby boy Morrison meeting Rocky.
#6: Boxer
The well-conditioned middleweight athlete of dogdom, the boxer is a powerful dog with an intelligent and alert expression. While they are instinctive guardians, the boxer loves to be with his people. This personality has allowed them to succeed as couriers during wartime and as seeing-eye dogs for the blind.
One of the breed’s most notable characteristics is its desire for human affection, especially from children. They are patient and spirited with children, but also protective, making them a popular choice for families. Appearing in both fawn and brindle colors, the boxer’s short coat requires minimal maintenance, but he is an active dog that needs daily exercise.
Hi, we're The Morrisons. I've been using this blog to keep in touch with my family and friends ever since leaving our native Texas in 2007 for the mountains of Southern Appalachia. In 2012 we moved back to Texas, because that's what Texans tend to do. Thanks for visiting our blog. We like to hear from you, so leave a kind comment or two!

Snow Day
New Beginnings
I have been looking forward to today since November. For the last week and until tomorrow I have been sequestered in an audio/video studio editing an EPA Compliance training session we hosted last week. I wasn't sure I would be able to watch the historical inauguration but luckily the library, where the studio is, aired the whole thing in an auditorium and I got there early enough to sit in the front row. Yay me!!
Anywho, its all official now.
I also recently finished a great jewel of a book. A nice break from my pregnancy and environmental ethics literature. The book is titled "Advice to a young wife from an Old Mistress." I bought it about a year ago, when I was still just engaged, for maybe .25 at a local library used book sale. This little gem will make an excellent addition to my gender studies shelf in my home library.
