Forever Young?

So I was listening to a little Bob Dylan on the way to work this morning. I do love me some Bob.

Anywho, while listening to "Forever Young" I found myself gently pushing down a swell of unexpected emotion, and thinking to myself how frustrated I can be with Time -- for being so shallow, stingy and uncompromising. I mean, seriously, how hard can it be? A few more hours to the day? A few more months to the year? A few more years to select moments of my youth?

And then of course I thought myself silly for getting so emotional so early in the morning. I figure it must be that time when my hormones start to go all wacky.

There are so many songs that make me emotional...at any time of the day! I love the song Forever Young by Alphaville. Don't you sometimes wish we could pick an age and just stay there until we are good and ready to become older?

Sometimes when I am reading your blog I feel like you might be standing in my head reading my thoughts. It's kind of scary, but also reassuring that I am not the only person with these thoughts.

I think I hear your biological clock ticking. Yes, that is what it is. So when are you going to pop me out a couple of neices and nephews??

I can ask this question because I had to hear it over and over and over for many years!!!!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow By Israel Kamakawiwo'ole does that to me everytime and makes me realize, time bites.

Something similar happened to me today while I was listening to This American Life. Kids were sharing stories about their prom experiences. It made me a little weepy, and then I felt very silly. Tick, tock, tick, tock -- it tolls for thee! :)
