A Squirrel Story

Casey and I had the pleasure of watching this story unfold. Of course, our vegetable garden is short an ear of corn. I imagine its only a matter of time before the word is out and we come home one evening to NO corn! At least we get some free entertainment.

He was trying to run away with his loot but it was too big so he finally gave up and decided he needed to eat his corn right then.

It was only a matter of time before he started to draw the attention of his neighbor.

Unsuspecting, in the bliss of eating fresh corn, right off the stalk.

"Uh Oh, I've been spotted!"

"You can't have my corn."

You gotta give the other squirrel some credit. At least he went for it, but in the end he just wasn't quick enough.

Safe in the dog run.

But now the cameraman has been spotted.
"Must eat faster!"

The squirrel makes another quick get-a-way up a tree.

"Now I can finally enjoy my corn in peace!"

Thanks, though I cannot take all the credit. Casey took the first few pictures.

These pics and narration would make a good children's book. You should upload them to shutterfly and make a book. I'll let you know next time they do a free offer.
