Hi, we're The Morrisons. I've been using this blog to keep in touch with my family and friends ever since leaving our native Texas in 2007 for the mountains of Southern Appalachia. In 2012 we moved back to Texas, because that's what Texans tend to do. Thanks for visiting our blog. We like to hear from you, so leave a kind comment or two!

Close encounter
While playing in the river on Saturday I had another close encounter with a slithering foe. This time it wasn't a harmless rat snake type, but instead a venomous baby copperhead. Yikes. I had Gavin with me and we were walking along the bank, just minding our own business, throwing rocks, etc., when this wee snake darted across our path and into the river. I am not sure how venomous they are at that age, but was glad we weren't close enough to find out nonetheless.
