Notice the cedar hope chest in the far-right photo, a gift from parents. My sister and I each received one when we were adolescents. This is the subject of one of my next projects. I have been wanting to update this piece for years. Not too long ago I found a large-enough remnant of fabric at Goodwill for $1.50, very similar to one of my inspiration fabrics. Finding the fabric is what got me thinking about this project again. I may still look online and in fabric stores for something closer before I decide to dismantle and start sanding. The only thing I have not yet decided is the stain/paint color.
