I mentioned in my Fourth of July post, that my nephew has recently gotten into roller skating. He even goes to the same skate rink that my siblings and I grew up going to. During a recent visit to San Antonio, my sister and I took the kids to Skateland so that Colton could show off his moves. He loves to speed skate and skate backward. His favorite game is four corners and he performed well doing the limbo. My personal favorite was doing the hokey pokey, but mostly I enjoyed just getting my skate legs back. It had literally been over a decade since I last roller skated. It was nice to spend the special time with my nephew, I saw a lot of my brother's positive traits in him. Same goofy grin and Clay was also great at skating, particularly backward and speed skating. Often times the deja vu and resemblance was uncanny and it felt like a part of me was getting a second chance to appreciate my brother. He left our family a wonderful gift, my nephew.
Me and my big sis! She's been working hard to reach her goal weight and get healthy. She's doing awesome and we're hoping to participate in 5k together in February. Way to go sis and keep up the great work.
My lovely niece. She's growing up to be such an intelligent and fun young lady to be around.
Colton, such a loving older cousin. He's very patient with both Bristol and Gavin.
Aunt Tiff with Colton
Bristol had more fun when she had someone to skate with.
What a fun bunch of kids. I am grateful to have each of them in my life.
