We had a false alarm this week. My amniotic fluid is low. Friday morning I was sent to triage to check if my sac had ruptured. The test came back negative. My cervix was not dilated. The MFM decided to monitor me more closely so my appointments will be a little closer together. I am experiencing painful contractions, though they are not close together and I do not have any other labor symptoms. We are definitely on alert and I hope to stay pregnant at least two more weeks, though 36 would be fine too.
I'm coming down with a cold and my spurts of energy are growing further apart. I've gained exactly 25 pounds and baby is measuring at 5 lbs 10 oz. I'm still working full time. My next appointment is Tuesday, I'll see both doctors, the MFM and then the OB. I will be 35 weeks and 4 days. My hospital bags are packed!
I have a few odds-and-end projects to finish in the nursery. Casey has been working non-stop building shelves and garden beds and experiencing his own version of nesting in the garage.
On NYE we had a spades tournament with Casey's parents. Was a good exercise in counting and identifying numbers for Gavin. Also, on NYE our neighbors' were in labor with their third child. Little Maria was born at 1:40AM New Years Day.
