Soccer Camp

Gavin participated in his first soccer camp. It was a great opportunity for him to work on his soccer and social skills. He played with a large group of 5-8 year olds, but was only one of 2-3 five year olds. He was also the smallest player out there.

The first two days he was pretty shy, mostly during the first half of camp. He would lag behind and stand by himself during the warm up. Fortunately there were several older players and teenage assistants who made a big effort to make Gavin feel welcome and comfortable. 

By day  three, Gavin's shyness had disappeared. He held is own with kids several years older. He's excited about the fall soccer season, and so are we.
