I can't say whether mine is as good as hers. I wish I had the opportunity to taste hers. I did enjoy baking something for my dad and recalling his stories about how he and his grandfather and cousin would drive out to a fruit stand and buy the blackberries fresh for his grandmother to bake her much loved cobbler.
It was a nice visit. Gavin enjoyed having his grandparents and new cousins come watch his first game of the season. Katie and Maddy are fantastic young ladies. Maddy used my camera to take some great photos while out at the soccer fields. I'll post those from my home computer later this weekend. Her composition and eye for candid moments is impressive. She's in the 6th grade. I hope she continues honing her craft.
