A Bipartisan Christmas

See? I'm more moderate than one might think. This past weekend at the Knoxville Christmas Parade, I forced my husband and young son to have a picture made with Knoxville mayor and Tennessee Governor-elect Bill Haslam, a Republican. *gasp!*

Next thing you know I'll be exchanging Christmas cards with the Bushes and carrying a handgun on my morning runs, you know, just in case I have a run-in with a coyote. All kidding aside, it was kind of cool to get to meet the governor. Last year, when he was just the mayor, he was on a float. This year, he was walking the parade on foot and shaking hands with the city folk.
