A Bridal Shower

Well, the wedding is quickly approaching. My fabulous sister threw me a bridal shower this past weekend at Papasitos. I had so much fun visiting with my sister, my niece and my cousin, whom I haven't seen in a few years. I was a little overwhelmed during the shower. I wish I could have spent more time with everyone individually. Nevertheless, it was wonderful to have so many special ladies all in one place. The theme was fiesta. My sister did an awesome job. Everyone had their own sombrero and set of maracas. She had the bakery replicate the invitation on the cake and the fajitas were DELICIOUS. Afterwards, my sister made my ribbon bouquet to use during the rehearsal. Below are some pictures.

This is me and my mom arriving, with my brother-in-law in the background. He came early to help my sister get all her stuff in, then he went back to his sister's house to watch my niece.

This is my sister and I. She had a shirt made that read "Bride to Be".

The M&M game! My sister counted each of these M&Ms and then arranged them by color. When I guessed how many were in there I was way off. I guessed 473. I'll give you a hint...it was over 1,000.

My dad was so sweet. He stayed at the bar and ate lunch, but wanted to stick around in case we needed his help with anything. He was a great help picking my cousin up from the airport and just being jolly overall.

My mom and my MIL. I have a lot of Kathies in my life. My mom, my MIL, my sister's MIL and my best friend's mom are all named Kathy.

All the guests (minus one)....what a lovely group of ladies.

Me standing with my sister and the ribbon bouquet she made. She is very creative.

Having this little one around was my favorite part of the day. My niece is growing so fast! I wish she could stay this age forever. Her personality is really starting to shine through in everything she does. I can't wait to see her again in March.

I can't believe how fast the days are flying by. A friend of mine, who now lives in Paris (LUCKY LADY!) sent this to me after Casey and I got engaged. It is an email I sent to her on the day of our first date. It was 4:00, an hour before work got out. I was so nervous about my date with Casey later that evening. Perhaps subconciously I knew this first date would be my last first date and Casey was The One.

I am so nervous about this date I have lost my appetite...it’s a weird anxious feeling. we emailed each other all day and texted each other last night...we have a fun, flirty chemistry...but I have no idea how that will translate in person....I feel hungry...but when I eat something the feeling doesn’t go away. it’s weird....

In case any of you are wondering. I did order my pink garment bag for my bridal gown. It should be here sometime next week.

You're lucky to have Courtney as a sister (but I'm sure you already know that!!). The shower was awesome...you will have the same overwhelming feeling at the wedding reception, but times 20!! Make sure there are lots of cameras and videos to capture all the special moments.

Let me know if you need help with anything...Mark goes out of town most weekends so I'm available.
