Bristol got a double dose of family thanks to Aunt Jen (my sister's sister-in-law) coming over. My sister has also been blessed with wonderful inlaws. They always make me and my parents feel welcome at their family gatherings. The Lucek Ladies are the best!
It was a JOY to be in the same room with everyone who came. And thank you to my mom and sister for organizing everything. I can't wait to plant my wildflower seeds. Casey has already suggested a lovely place in the backyard for us to build a raised bed. I also received a Texas Tech onesie from my favorite Baylor Bear and can't wait to take a picture of the baby in his Red Raider gear. Casey is very excited about the Kelty baby backpack we received from my former boss at the education research firm. We are already planning our first camping trip. We figure we'll break the wee one in with some light car camping around here in the Great Smokey Mtn. National Park and then when he is a little older embark on an adventure out West somewhere.
The next shower is at the end of March, here in TN. The hostesses, my lovely MIL and cousin-in-law (basically the Southeastern counterparts of my mom and sister) are throwing a tea party baby shower at a local tea house-art gallery. I have never actually been to a real tea party. I am looking forward to introducing my TN family to all the wonderful ladies I work with. I'll let you guys know how everything goes. In the meantime enjoy the pictures from TX.

These are some of my friends from high school, a few of them I haven't actually seen live and in person SINCE high school! What a blast from the past. It was great to visit with them.

Me and my beautiful sister. Thanks sis for all your love and support as I embark on yet another life changing event.

Me and the two hostesses

Melissa and Tiff! Melissa and I went to high school together, but more recently have became great blogger buddies.

One of my best friends and her mom. I think of them as my second family. Amy and I became friends when we were 16 and both worked at County Seat in Windsor Park Mall. We went to different high schools but hit it off almost immediately. We share the same birthday along with several other personality traits. I miss her.

Me, my mom, great aunt and some of my cousins. I haven't seen my cousins in well over ten years. We recently reconnected through email. It's never too late to reach out to family.

The three musketeers! Arianna, Tabitha and I were inseparable during high school. We had so much fun together. The last time we were all in my parents living room was our junior year in high school. Tabitha and I surprised Arianna for her birthday during a break from competition practice. I'll have to dig up those old pictures and post them.

I stole these next few pictures from my sister's blog. My niece loved exposing my belly to talk to her baby cousin. She is ready for him to come out already. You and me both, Bristol!

My dad and sister. My dad was a great sport while a bunch of women took over his lair.
On Friday morning I drove to Austin to hang out with my favorite Austinites...The Woods. I finally got to meet their very handsome, giggly and wiggly son Denny! What a CUTIE PIE. I am looking forward to the day when Denny and Baby Boy Morrison get to run and play together.
