Loss

One of my first boyfriends and my high school prom date (junior year) was MURDERED yesterday. Evaristo "Juny" Sierra was shot, execution style, in his home. I keep checking the SA news site waiting for more details. He and I lost touch long ago, but the shock and saddness is there nonetheless. From what I can tell, based on the reaction of former classmates who were still in touch with him, he was still the same sweet Juny everyone knew and loved. Very friendly and jovial. I have my suspicions about this recent tragedy but I will keep those to myself out of respect for the deceased and his loved ones. I do hope his family and friends will find closure in the coming days, weeks, and months as the SAPD work diligently to bring Juny's executioner to justice. I can only imagine what they are going through. He was very close to his family. He had two big sisters that adored him. He was 31 years old.

It feels like there has been more death this year than in the recent past. Both Casey and I lost uncles this year. Last weekend a friend of ours lost a close friend in a senseless DWI accident, he was only 26 and the father of a toddler with one on the way. Earlier this week one our secretaries husband was murdered, shot dead during a robbery.

whoa, that is a lot of deaths for you. I didn't know you dated him and went to prom with him, Edith posted the website to where the funeral will be held.

I've been thinking about Kathy Keller a lot lately as her death anniversary is coming up on Oct. 9th. :(

Sorry for your loss. I didn't "know" him very well but Adam played football with him and said he was a great guy. Hope they find the guy who did it.

I remember Kathy. I actually worked for her parents right after I turned 16. I didn't know Kathy well, but I knew her parents and I was devastated for them when I found out about her wreck. They were a great family. I'll say a little prayer as the anniversary of her death approaches.

I read about this in the newspaper and was shocked by it. I didn't "know" him either but I knew who he was. Very sad indeed.

I'm sorry for your loss Tiffany.
