Well, we are finally home from lovely north Georgia. The weather gods most definitely shined down on our beautiful bride, Miss Shannon (Casey's cousin). There was rain both on Friday and Sunday, but Saturday was picture perfect. The grounds and bride were equally stunning. Gavin met most of his extended family for the first time. We broke in our baby hiking backpack. Saw some amazing lake houses. Hiked to the Minihaha Falls, which were beautiful. Danced the night away and ate wonderful food. Enjoyed good company around the bonfire, twice. Congratulations to the happy couple. They are off to the beach! Enjoy some of the pictures we took, I tried to put them in chronological order, beginning with pictures of the rehearsal dinner night, the grounds, then hiking, the various family members the morning of the wedding, the cocktail reception, the dinner reception, dancing, and then bonfire. Some of the pictures of the bride and groom together I had to swipe from another guest's Facebook page.

One mini-vacation down and two more to go. On to planning for our November trip to Houston by way of Lousiana. We will be stopping in Shreveport to spend time with the Wardens, then Kilgore to spend time with my grandmother and then to Houston for my side-of-the-family Thanksgiving. This will be Gavin's first visit to the homeland. Lots to be thankful about indeed.
