Hi, we're The Morrisons. I've been using this blog to keep in touch with my family and friends ever since leaving our native Texas in 2007 for the mountains of Southern Appalachia. In 2012 we moved back to Texas, because that's what Texans tend to do. Thanks for visiting our blog. We like to hear from you, so leave a kind comment or two!

Big boy bed
"My own big boy bed!?" That's what Gavin squealed when we told him he was getting a big boy bed on Sunday. He was very excited. His real big boy bed will be a double and we already have his super fun airplane sheets and an inspiration board on Pinterest. However, for the time being and for the purpose of showing the house, etc. we borrowed a twin bed and bedding from Casey's mom. The Peanuts sheets and yellow quilt used to belong to Casey, the blue comforter used to belong to Uncle Tyler, the frame/headboard used to belong to Gavin's Great-great grandparents and the lion pillow used to be mine. How fun is that?!?! Anyhow, Gavin loved his big boy bed so much he slept like a log and we had to wake him up, which is rare. We are also pleased to report that he stayed in his big boy bed the whole night, didn't sneak out to mom and dad's room, and didn't fall off! Hooray.

That is precious! The little Mann is growing so quickly. Love how excited he was. Pictures of sleeping kiddos are my favorite!
I love it, complete with Elmo and cowboy hat. Its seems like such a big step for the little ones. Bleu-Lu has finally managed to not roll out of her bed sans railings (third try, other nights has landed-and slept- on the pillows we put on the floor), so perhaps we can graduate from the toddler bed soon. take care! - SEI
