Fortunately nobody cried and so far Gavin understands that daddy living in Texas without us is not a permanent situation. We talk about why it is important for Gavin to help me keep the house clean so that we can sell it and move to Texas with daddy. He knows where daddy works and who daddy works with. He knows that in November we are going to the airport, boarding an airplane, and flying to Texas to visit daddy. Gavin is excited about getting his own seat this time. This is the first flight we have taken since Gavin turned two and required his own ticket.
After the airport we went home and took a long nap before heading out to the newest UTIA facility, a dairy and land research unit. There were a variety of activities geared to all ages. We ate yummy food, painted our first pumpkin of the season, kicking off pre-Halloween festivities, took a wagon ride tour, ran through a hay maze and climbed all over a bunch of fancy tractors.

This past weekend, just before Halloween Gavin and I went to Ag Day. This was our third year in a row going to UTIA's annual Ag Day and our first year to go without daddy. Our objectives this year were the bounce house and of course to drive the very cool antique tractors on display. Fortunate for us I know two of the owners of these tractors and they were more than happy to let Gavin have his fun. Thanks Tim and Gary!

I love the journaling on the bounce house photo. I love reading about the boy Gavin is becoming. I am looking forward to you guys being in state. Hang in there! You are awesome.
He looks happiest on one of those massively powerful machines, mom. Just sayin. And I know this must be a hard time for you....so know that I keep you in my prayers. Much love.
Tiffany, your post made me tear up; You remind me of that song, "I am rock" by Simon and Garfunkel. Such a lovely song.
Gavin is too adorable and I'm loving how fascinated he is with those tractors!
