Sawyer is 3.5 years old. Gavin is 8.5 years old. Some days they are best friends and are really sweet to each other, other days they fight like cats and dogs. Sawyer has a more contemplative personality and loves science and nature. Gavin is still our star athlete. In July, Uncle Tyler and Jolene came for a visit. Gavin purchased his very own kayak with his own money, that he earned doing chores and yardwork. He practiced paddling in our swimming pool weeks before taking out its maiden voyage on the San Marcos river. He would put Sawyer on it as well and give him lessons. That was one of those moments when they weren't fighting.
