Well, I am very excited about being "this close" to being finished with my Garrison Keillor book, "A Homegrown Democrat". His book has been a very thoughtful and insightful account about his upbringing as a Christian Midwesterner and how his experiences shaped his political and personal values. I have been secretly coveting the book on Casey's nightstand...Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States. He has been bugging me to hurry up with the Garrison Keillor book so he can read it, rightfully so, afterall I did buy the book for him. So, the plan is to stealthily replace his book with his other book. Perhaps I should really go find a new book of my own, but not until I finish his.
I expect to start reading the new book by tomorrow. It should keep me occupied into the New Year.

jealous again that you can enjoy such sophisticated books. my fav books are the shopaholic series. i hated history, goverment, and science class. sad huh?
I love the Shopaholic series! I read my first Shopaholic book in like a week. They are so funny and sadly I can relate to her in many ways. I go through phases when reading...being sophisticated isn't something I am on a consistent basis.
